Arriving by plane at Stuttgart Airport

Leave the Airport Area by turning left at the exit and following the signs for Tübingen/Reutlingen (B27). This is a dual carriageway periphery road also indicating motorway signs (A81/A8) but you do NOT have to join the motorway. Continue following the signs for Tübingen (B27 all the way) and you will then have to turn left at some traffic lights (again, signposts are for Tübingen/Reutlingen). This road will lead you round to join the B27, which resembles a motorway (you can drive as fast as on a motorway and it is four-laned). Reutlingen and Tübingen are very clearly signposted. You therefore join the B27 and continue driving for approximately 20 minutes, when you will be entering the area around Tübingen. There are many exits at this point, one after the other. Your exit is signposted: Tübingen Nord, Hagelloch, Kliniken, Kunsthalle. Leave the B27 and continue following these same directions. At some point also the Naturwissenschaftliche Institute are signposted (Morgenstelle) in addition to the directions already given. Following these signs, you will be led towards the town centre (turning left at the traffic lights) and will then be directed to the right up a long hill (again, at traffic lights). The signs remain the same: Tübingen Nord, Hagelloch, Kliniken, Kunsthalle, Botanischer Garten, Naturwissenschaftliche Institute. You drive all the way up the hill, passing two to three sets of traffic lights until you reach the very top and then begin to drop down again. You now pass the signs for the Kunsthalle (Art Gallery) on the left (do NOT turn off left); continue along this main road (it is called NORDRING or BERLINER RING). You will now see on the left high-rise buildings that belong already to the University. At this point also the Botanischer Garten, with small parking area, will come into sight. Do not stop or park, carry on and take the next right turn that is signposted: Hagelloch, Parkplatz Naturwissenschaftliche Institute. Then turn immediately left after the multi-storey car park, driving around and in front of the entrance to the car park (ignore the no-entry sign at the beginning; it does not apply to you). Be careful of cars coming from the right: they have right-of-way! You will then see a barrier. Here you must announce yourself (press the button on the intercom) and you will hopefully be allowed to pass. (If you are not allowed through you will have to use the multi-storey car park at the entrance.) Continue driving along this small campus road (Auf der Morgenstelle) past the high-rise university buildings on the right, for about 500 m. Our house is at the end of this road on the right, 3-storey, grey. Please park in one of the park slots on the right-hand side and simply come up to the third floor (rooms 3.007/3.008).

Arriving by bus, line No. 5 (or lines 18, 19)

Leaving the hotel Domizil, turn to the right and walk for about 100 meters to the bridge (Neckarbrücke). There are bus stops at the upper end of the bridge. Please note that you need a 2 € coin for traveling, unless you have not received a ticket beforehand. The bus drivers do not sell tickets, you have to use the ticket distributer that is in every bus. Taking bus No. 5, which runs every 10 minutes, or No. 18 or 19, which run less frequently, you will travel until the bus stop “BG Unfallklinik”. Turn to the right, try to cross the large car park and use the path at the far end of the car park, right above our building. You will find us in the 3rd floor, the office is in room 3.016.
